AV-TEST Awards 2024 for Bitdefender
Every day, cybersecurity products deliver monitoring and protection services reliably in the background, unnoticed by many end users and company employees. The renowned AV-TEST Institute has been testing and recognizing these "hidden champions" for over 20 years. This year, the institute is once again presenting its coveted AV-TEST Awards 2024. In thousands of tests, the experts examined name-brand protection products for consumer users and corporate users on Windows, Mac and Android and certified them for their strong security performance. The AV-TEST Award 2024 honors the products that have consistently stood out with top scores and achieved peak ratings in the long-term test results throughout 2024. In the 2024 awards, the AV-TEST Institute honored the vendor Bitdefender with a total of 6 awards. The testers are giving this vendor the Best Protection Award for Consumer Users and two Best Protection Awards for Corporate Users. Added to this is the Best Advanced Protection Award for Corporate Users. Bitdefender is also receiving awards in the test categories of Best Android Security and Best MacOS Security for Consumer Users.

AV-TEST Award – recognition for verified IT security
Comprehensible, standards-based tests are a high priority for the experts at the AV-TEST Institute. All products evaluated in the test labs for Windows, Mac and Android always undergo a defined test structure and documentation. Only this professional approach ensures that test results are reproducible, valid and consistent at all times. That is why the institute explains all test procedures openly and transparently on its website. All the products tested and certified in 2024 always received clear ratings in the areas of Protection (protective function), Performance (speed) and Usability (user-friendliness). In addition to the standard tests for the operating systems mentioned, the testers also evaluated products under Windows in the special Advanced Threat Protection test. This ATP test offers insights into how Windows products are able to defend against ransomware and info stealers in real-life scenarios.
In all tests in 2024, the products examined and meeting the demanding test criteria received a certificate for tested security against digital threats. If products achieved results significantly above the industry standard at the end of a test evaluation, the AV-TEST team also awarded the distinction of "TOP PRODUCT". The products honored in an award category participated in all laboratory tests without exception throughout 2024. AV-TEST Awards for Bitdefender – award-winning IT security
The vendor Bitdefender made a compelling finish in multiple laboratory tests in 2024, achieving outstanding test scores with products for consumer users and solutions for corporate users.
In the key test category of protection, Bitdefender products consistently delivered extremely high performance. As a result, for its protection performance throughout the tests, the AV-TEST labs are presenting the Best Protection Award for Consumer Users to Bitdefender Total Security. And it is also worth mentioning that all test scores for company products were well above the industry average. In recognition of these achievements, the AV-TEST Institute is presenting the vendor with the Best Protection Awards for Corporate Users under Windows for the two products Business Security and Business Security Enterprise. The performance values were also consistently above average in the extended ATP tests (Advanced Test Protection). For this the Bitdefender product Business Security received the Best Advanced Protection Award for Corporate Users.
However, the Bitdefender products not only performed well in the tests under Windows. The vendor also earned the Best MacOS Security Award for Consumer Users with its Antivirus for Mac product for its consistently superlative protection and speed values.
On the important mobile Android platform, Bitdefender's Mobile Security protection app performed impressively in all lab tests in 2024. The app passed the tests against countless online threats and dangerous malware and at the same time recognized thousands of harmless tools as such. This builds user confidence. The Mobile Security antivirus app received the Best Android Security Award for Consumer Users based on these good test findings.
