Alongside the diversity of the analyses, the scope, intensity and quality of these results are particularly unrivalled. AV-TEST carries out more than 3,000 individual and comparative tests per year. We perform extensive certification procedures in which IT security products are assessed and certified in accordance with high standards. 

A Comprehensive All-Round Service for Security Products

In order to comprehensively accompany IT security products in all stages of the product cycle, we carry out a detailed needs assessment with a view to selecting the optimal test methods to suit the product in question. In doing so, we only use appropriate products with comparable performance-related components when performing comparative tests. The meticulous documentation and archiving of the results of these tests enable AV-TEST to provide report files, data packets containing test data, screen shots and images, as well as to verify and reproduce results, at short notice and at any time.

Independent Analyses Using Our Own Data

By using analysis tools that it has developed itself, AV-TEST achieves a maximum level of independence when it comes to test samples. All analyses are based on AV-TEST's own test samples, which it has established, analysed and processed and then compiled in one of the world's most comprehensive data collections. These test samples are then selected and processed in accordance with the respective test requirements.
