Combining and Using Location Potentials
The headquarters of the AV-TEST Institute are located in Magdeburg, the capital city of the German Land of Saxony-Anhalt. An abundance of top-quality scientific institutions and organisations are located at the heart of the traditional and high-performance centre of Germany, for example the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg, the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF and the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems.
The AV-TEST Institute is able to make the most of the close proximity to these international sources of innovation in the fields of technology and computer science and participates in an active and productive transfer of scientific knowledge. The Institute also has a separate research department in Leipzig, enabling it to also tap into the vast potential of the business location of Saxony.
Donations and Sponsoring
As a top regional company, AV-TEST is actively involved in the areas of cultural and sport promotion.
In August 2012, AV-TEST sponsored the 2nd Kaiser Otto Festival in Magdeburg, which celebrates the Holy Roman Emperor Otto the Great as the founder of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg and of the Holy Roman Empire.

In July 2012, AV-TEST supported the Magdeburg Art Museum which is based in the fine Romanesque building of the former Monastery of Our Lady with a donation for the restoration of the light installation on the Magdeburg lift bridge that was destroyed.

In 2010, the AV-TEST Institute helped to preserve the cultural legacy of the city of Magdeburg by participating in the “One Step, My Step” campaign run by the ‘Förderverein Dom zu Magdeburg e. V.’ in which it was able to contribute towards the renovation of the historic staircase in the north tower of Magdeburg Cathedral.
AV-TEST has been supporting youth sport in the Magdeburg region since 2009 as a sponsor of the handball team BSV 93 Magdeburg−Olvenstedt e. V.
