eco - Association of the Internet Industry
eco is Europe's largest Association of the Internet industry. Since 1995, the organization has been shaping the development of the Internet in Germany, promoting new technologies and infrastructures, and it has been involved in forming political framework conditions for the market development of the digital realm. Members of the eco competence groups include key decision-makers from the Internet industry. With presentations, services and consulting, AV-TEST is providing input in the "Security" working group.
AV-TEST is a member of BITKOM the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media – the largest network for communication and new media industry. It focuses on the optimization of political and economical conditions for the ITC-Business, the dialogue between specialized- and leading personnel and the consolidation of German economy.
The German Cyber Security Alliance
The German Cyber Security Alliance is an initiative launched by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) in cooperation with the German Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM). As an amalgamation of all important actors in the field of cyber security in Germany, the Alliance aims to increase cyber security and to strengthen Germany's ability as a business location to resist cyber attacks. AV-TEST GmbH is actively involved in the German Cyber Security Alliance as one of its partners.
The Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg
As well as supervising scientific final-year theses and offering course-related internships, AV-TEST has also been working in cooperation with the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg (Faculty of Computer Science) on a variety of research projects for many years.
Stralsund University of Applied Sciences | The Steinbeis Transfer Centre
The Steinbeis Transfer Centre for the “Planning and Evaluation of Networks" is a recognised European institution for measuring and inspecting real-time-capable high-speed networks at the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, Germany.In cooperation with Prof. Dr Bernhard Stütz from the Steinbeis Transfer Centre, AV-TEST regularly carries out research projects and executes test procedures in the field of security appliances. In doing so, the AV-TEST Institute makes use of the universal possibilities of simulated test environments that form the focus of the work carried out by the Steinbeis Transfer Centre.
AMTSO is an international group of security experts with the common goal of increasing the quality of anti-malware testing. In AMTSO, many representatives of manufacturers, test laboratories and media develop guidelines for test procedures and make these available to software testers worldwide. As a founding member, AV-TEST GmbH has been contributing its testing expertise to the organization since 2008.
The SmartHome Initiative Deutschland is an interdisciplinary communication platform for sharing experience among Smart Home organizations and providers from research, development, industry, trade and crafts. As a member, AV-TEST supports the organization in the development and validation of security standards.
