Secretary of Commerce awarded AV-Test GmbH as "Company of the Month"

Magdeburg's AV-Test GmbH has received the award "Company of the Month" by the Secretary of Commerce Dr. Reiner Haseloff. AV-Test is the 38th business in Saxony-Anhalt which has received this recognition. The official press release can be found here.

Cross Reference List of Virus Names

Each vendor of anti-virus software has a different naming convention and the same virus can have a completely different name in another company's product. We created a cross-reference list of all virus names (604 KB) based on the WildList 04/2009 in order to avoid further confusion.

PC World Test Results of 2009 Internet Security Suites Are Out

For the article "Top Internet Security Suites: Paying for Protection" published in the PC World magazine, we've tested nine brand-new programs in the areas of malware detection and removal, (outbreak) response times, size of the updates, performance (incl. scan speed), rootkit defense, the behaviour-based protection (HIPS) and issues related to false positive testing.
