Detailed Test Reports

All products analysed by AV-TEST are tested in terms of their performance in the categories of Protection, Repair and Usability. This area of the website contains detailed test reports on all of the products that AV-TEST examined since July 2010.

Products for end users receive a certificate that provides evidence of their security as confirmed by AV-TEST. Given the complexity of the products and their diverse range of uses, company solutions cannot easily be directly compared. AV-TEST therefore uses the settings recommended by the software manufacturers to analyse the protection solutions. This enables AV-TEST to inspect and objectively assess the product performance within the framework of universally valid settings in the case of current and realistic threat situations and to transparently publish the results at the end of the test period.
