Carry Out Active Research as an AV-TESTer

Working at AV-TEST will enable you to carry out future-oriented and challenging activities in the field of anti-virus research.Our staff take responsibility for their own work in small project-oriented teams led by scientifically trained project supervisors. Individual staff promotion and direct communication channels are essential maxims for the Institute, as is the creation and provision of a positive working environment. All work areas at the Institute are equipped with high-quality technology and provide the maximum amount of freedom for the development of innovative methods and concepts.

 

Scientific Final-Year Projects and Internships

The AV-TEST Institute offers students the opportunity of supervision for their final-year projects in the field of IT and completion of scientific internships at the Institute at any time. Competent supervisors assist students from the development of potential topics right through to the completion of the project, providing advice and support and giving students insights into the possible practical applications of their research topics. Job Vacancies

In order to maintain the quality of our data and tests at its current high level and to research new issues in the field of IT security, AV-TEST is now offering you the chance to complete your final thesis at our offices in Leipzig and Magdeburg. Thesis topics can be arranged in consultation with AV-TEST and your supervising university department. Potential fields of research include:

  • Static analysis of executable files
  • Dynamic analysis of executable files
  • Test automation
  • Data mining in test and analysis results
  • Visualisation of test and analysis results

You will be provided with performance-related remuneration for your internship. If your final thesis is suitable, we will ask you to present it at specialist international conferences.
